William Gillespie, B.Sc.
I joined the Wythe Lab in January 2023 after obtaining my bachelor of science in biology and a minor in chemistry from the University of North Texas. At UNT, I was able to explore and learn a variety of subjects such as organic chemistry, cellular biology, and pharmacology/toxicology, which ultimately sparked my passion for research.
Throughout my academic career, I have always been interested in pharmacology, and hope to use some of the experience I have gained in the Wythe Lab to pursue further education in this field. Currently, I am working with mouse models to help understand brain tumor angiogenesis/vascularization, applying this knowledge to test potential molecular targets that may be used to inhibit tumor progression..
